Tryouts for the 7th and 8th grade girl’s Basketball Teams will be on January 20, 21, & 22 in Gyms A and B from 3:15 until 4:45. 8th Graders please stop by and sign up in Mr. Gulick’s classroom in 4C.  7th Graders please stop by and sign up in Mr. Taylor’s room in 3E. You must have a physical on file and a check payable to South Redford School for $75.00.  There is also a payment plan, but you have to sign up at Thurston HS at Mr. Chambo’s office before you try out on the 20th.  Any questions may be directed to Mr. Gulick or Mr. Taylor.

Attention all students and staff:

Do you have extra gently used mittens or gloves?  Want to help out kids that need warm hats and gloves? Mittens for Michigan’s Kids Project are collecting mittens for the Wayne County family homeless shelter on Michigan Avenue each year. The families show up at the shelter with only the clothes they are wearing. Last year we delivered 100 pairs of new and gently use mittens to kids that had nothing.  

We bring them warm gloves and blankets. Please consider helping Michigan’s Kids. The collection box will be by the front office this week.

NJHS Members: The monthly NJHS meeting is scheduled for this Wednesday, January 14. The meeting starts at 7:45 a.m. in the choir room. See you then!  Ms. Hofer

Patriot Idol: Round 1 begins on Tuesday, January 27 at 3:15 in room 14E. Contestants should be prepared to sing one song in front of the judges. You may sing a song of your choice, provided it’s appropriate for school, of course. If you are interested in being a contestant for Patriot Idol, sign up at the front office.
